About North Tawton, Bow and Spreyton
One of the smallest towns in England it is mentioned in the Domesday
Book of 1086. North Tawton is in the very heart of rural Devon,
just a few miles north east of Dartmoor. North Tawton has a large
cheese factory just outside the village.
The poet Ted Hughes lived in North Tawton for many years.

Bow is in Mid Devon and dates back to the 14th century. It is
about 18 miles from Exeter and the M5, 8 miles from Crediton and 10
miles from Okehampton. It is a thriving village, with a shop, pubs,
post office, garages, a school, a doctors surgery, a garden centre and
both church and chapels.
